JOB TITLE: Gross Motor Instructor/For Adults with Disabilities

SUMMARY: The Gross Motor Instructor supports the Program Manager in providing leadership, oversight, and direction for Loveland Center’s Gross Motor Program, designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and physical support needs. They assist in fostering independence through gross motor skill development, sensory integration, and daily living activities, helping participants integrate with their surroundings.
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities implementing occupational therapy, special education, or related techniques. Must have a driver’s license and access to a reliable motor vehicle.

While performing the duties of this job, the Instructor is regularly required to talk and hear; frequently is required to stand, walk, sit; and use hands. The Instructor is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Instructor may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that a Gross Motor Instructor encounters while performing the essential functions of their job. Primarily, an Instructor is subject to indoor and outdoor conditions in a therapeutic setting and subject to low to moderate noise levels with periodic disruptions in routine.
